Obviously it was almost the same, when some people can think about it. It's almost the same because you are writing the same text!

They are both amazing that kind of job it wasn't easy enough to do it. As for the translator, you have to make sure that you're translating that correct, it's amazing that they are so smart and can learn more than languages to translate that it becomes their asset.
For transcriber, they should be sharp for their ears for listening and transcribing every word they hear, it's like they were taking notes on what they hear. They also have the same job as translator to be paying attention to their job. Most of them are hard to become a job, especially when they are too specific to their requirement as such, the language, degree, experience and skills.
I have known for my personal experience, you have to be extra patient on finding these two jobs that really suits you, make sure that you have experience, or your good enough with your language skills and my own tip was you always have to prepare with your clients if you finally had a job from translating or transcribing.
I can't debate which is better but for me I choose translation, which is for me I find it easier and I'm enjoying myself learning a language and volunteering translating subtitles to other websites like (opensubtiles.org), I feel like it relaxed my mind and especially I'm too a fan of watching foreign TV shows/movies.
While the transcribing is not my strength especially when I listen to the words that unfamiliar to me like some foreign dialects but I enjoy doing it too.
What other things does help me with translation and transcription?
I learn on how to pay attention on things that what motivates me to do, that I should keep helping people to understand the language they don't understand and I feel so happy that I help enough by volunteering to be a translator to everybody. We know that everybody can what makes them happy and I'm never get tired of it.
